I’m a Rams fan and you should be too. If you count your life dear to yourself, then consider this warning! You thought the evangelism linebacker was scary. Today one of my best friends, Samkon Gado was signed to the St. Louis Rams. This will be his fourth year in the NFL. He is a missionary who just happens to play football and who could also destroy most people with a single blow, except me. He deeply fears me, but that is another story.
Sam is passionate follower of Jesus Christ and has been a dear friend to me. Join me in praying for him as he seeks to glorify God on the mission field, which few have the opportunity to enter. The following is also a little description of Sam’s move today:
The St. Louis Rams announced Tuesday that they signed free agent running back Samkon Gado. The St. Louis Rams signed free agent RB Samkon Gado to the active roster and signed LB David Vobora from the practice squad, the team announced today. In addition, WR Drew Bennett and WR/KR Dante Hall were placed on the reserved/injured list. RB Darius Walker and LB Kelly Poppinga were signed to the practice squad and S David Roach and FB Russ Weil were released from the practice squad. Gado, 5-10, 226, spent 2007 with Houston and Miami, after spending 2005-06 with Green Bay. Vobora was drafted by the Rams in the seventh round (252nd overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft.
