I did not have the privilege of growing up in a Christian home. In fact my upbringing was quite the opposite. While my family loved me a lot, I was still exposed to a lot of things young children should never see. When I was 12, we moved to another area of the state of WV, where I began to hand aournd the wrong type of people and do the wrong things. By the age of 16, I had dropped out of high school and was beginning to fall into the drug scene. I eventually ended up in jail. After I was released from jail, one of my close friends became a Christian and he began to tell others about his testimony. One night I went to hear him share his story and that night I believed in the gospel. Shortly after beliving in the gospel, my life started to change drastically. That was in 1999 and God has transformed my life so much that I can truly say that I am a “new creation.” While attending Liberty University I realized that God had called to preach and teach his word. During, my time there God gave me a passion to bring Him glory by using these gifts. I am currently attending The Southern Baptist Theogical Seminary, from where I plan to graduate in May 09. My future plans are to pursure missions work in Brazil, but I am remaining open to whatever the Lord has for me!
